The iPhone 8 Might Finally Ditch The Home Button

Recently, in July, Apple terminated its contract with The Homepod firmware. After this, Homepod is continuously uncovering some secrets related to the iPhone 8. They are providing a more realistic view of the features that the Apple’s upcoming 10th Anniversary release iPhone 8 may have.

Future of the Iconic Home Button of iPhone

The latest leak is the home button which is expected to be removed or get a makeover in the upcoming release. According to a tweet from an Apple developer, Steve Troughton-Smith, who worked with the Homepod firmware codes, a virtual Home button may finally feature in the iPhone 8. He also said that the home button may be resized by the users on-screen, and also may be able to completely hide it.

The KGI analyst, Ming Chi Kuo had earlier revealed that there may be a ‘function area’ around it. The latest leak of the home button feature strengthens this theory even more. And what’s more, there is an absence of any API to change the color of the Home button, where comes in the need of the ‘function area’.

The other reveals says that there will be a support for ultra-slow-motion video capture of 240 frames per second at 1080p, face unlock feature that boasts to work even when the phone is lying flat on a table, OLED screen, wireless charging, curved glass, etc.
